What are your feelings about the present state of health care in the US?

One thing that get my attention about this question is about how women at least live five years more than man and it is because women is getting better educated in their health.

In my opinion healthcare is a huge issue and it's going to get far worse as the boomer generation gets older and needs more services. We have almost no time left to plan for this. The fact is our population is in worse health than those with unicare and our life expectancy is lower as well. Also, I found really interesting this issue because last year in my government class I watched the “SIKO” movie and I believe that watching this movie you gain a great information.

  1. Healthcare is a big issue and if nothing is done to provide better care and service to people it might cause a decrease in life expectancy. Many people are lacking health coverage and with the economy it makes it even harder to get a job or pay for healthcare. I think that once the economy gets better, healthcare should be part of U.S. piority.

  2. I agree that helath care is going to be in great demand as the baby boomer generation ages. I found the extra credit video on health care around the world very interesting! Its sad to see people in the United States who can't afford medication or who have untreated medical needs because they simply can not afford it. As soon as the economy begins circulating again, I believe the government needs to focus on the issue of financing health care. After viewing your blog, I watched a short clip of the "SIKO" documentary on youtube and found it very interesting and educational, thanks!
