A poison that kills

A poison that kills
The main threats to adolescents' health are the risk behaviors they choose, however their social health behaviors is poorly understood, and there are related many factors in this issue. Such as the one that were mention before, also one of the most important issue to me is the health care in adolescents, such as the increased mortality in been most skinner and look as the BARBIE is very competitive today, I mean that many teens in general are suffering with anorexia, and bulimia and these is a big issue on our society.

  1. The media is not helping to improve and encourage teens in a positive way when they launch commercials about being skinny. Teens do many things to fit in but I think it is the parent's job to make sure that their kids practice a healthy lifestyle especially when they are still living at home.

  2. I agree that the media is not helpful in showing teens what "normal" looks like. 13 or 14 year old girls think they are fat when they are a size 6. People in the media don't realize what they send out makes the way teens look and feel about themselves warped. For example the Jessica Simpson stuff that went on in the past few weeks. She is probably a size 8 or 10 and because of camera angles and media srutiny, they have made her look big. When a 13 or 14 year old girl who might be a size 6 or an 8 read all the bad things the media are saying about Jessica Simpson, who is absolutly georgeous, they feel horribloe about themselves. It is awful and we need to make changes to what we let our kids listen to and watch because of this bias.

  3. I agree with Yes,I believe the media has alot of role playing with the young kids hurting themselves physically. I also believe that some of these parents are at fault too. It is ashame and horrible that 5 years old are also aware of being fat and dont want to eat because it makes them fat. Are you kidding me? It just gets worse from here.
